Financial Accountant for Finance at Polaris Private Equity

You will become part of our finance department, where you will get dedicated and competent colleagues. The finance department handles a large number of tasks including the responsibility for reporting, accounting, compliance, risk management and structuring the acquisitions and sales of portfolio companies. We are busy, but we also have fun together. 

A mix between individual responsibility for assignments and ad hoc challenges
Your focus is on the day-to-day accounting for specific entities within Polaris (our management company and funds) where you will have a significant role ensuring high data quality as well as taking part in our efforts in optimizing our processes and workflows. Your tasks will consist of regular operational tasks, as well as ad hoc tasks. 

Your tasks will include: 

  • Bookkeeping for the specific entities within Polaris (our management company and funds) 
  • Financial accounting for the same specific entities within Polaris
  • Drive and maintain processes
  • Take part of year end and other financial closes procedures and prepare documentation for our external parties
  • Prepare material and reporting to the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority and other public authorities
  • Ongoing ad hoc-tasks

Our ideal candidate possesses most of the following competences:

  • You are educated as MSc in Economics, Auditing, Bachelor’s in business administration HD (R), or similar
  • You have experience from a similar position, preferably as an accountant or a financial controller 
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage
  • You are fluent in either Danish, Swedish or Norweigian, and are comfortable in English
  • You are structured and take responsibility for your work 
  • You have a high degree of professionalism and are both thorough and detail-oriented
  • You are motivated by delivering a finished product on time 
  • You thrive on independent responsibility and can handle several parallel tasks at once
  • You are flexible, have a positive spirit, and have great collaboration skills 
  • You are used to working with Microsoft Office
